I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I began my work with families and children over 22 years ago as a teacher, then as a therapist. I earned my B.A. from San Francisco State University in Spanish Language in 1990. I began teaching in bilingual education and then decided to work more in-depth with students on their emotional and psychological well being. I pursued my Master of Arts in Psychology from John F. Kennedy University graduating in 2000. I have worked in outpatient treatment centers, school-based day treatment, Family Services, Non-Profits and for Kaiser Permanente. I worked for Kaiser in the Department of Child Psychiatry from 2004-2009 and then in the Hospital as an Emergency and Hospital based consultant from 2010-2013.
I opened my practice in 2007 working with adults, couples, youth and families. My life and work have been inspired by over two decades of deep inner work, with extensive training in different treatment modalities. Some of my advanced trainings and experience include yoga, mindfulness practice, buddhist study and addiction/recovery. I am deeply devoted to personal and spiritual growth.
